Carib 3D

We are a full service 3D design & print service focused on the Caribbean market.  We can do 3D cad design, scan existing products or simply validate an existing CAD file.  Then we can print in a variety of standard and exotic materials

What we do

We offer an end to end 3D design, validate and printe service.

Whether you have existing 3D designs, or simply a broken part that you need to repliace in unbroken format – we can help!

3D Design

Got an idea of what you want but can’t translate what is in your mind into CAD?  We can help with bespoke CAD Design services

3D Scanning

If you have an existing object that you want to replicate or improve on, or have something broken you want a replacement for – we can scan it in 3D and then fix or modify as required

3D file validation

We can validate existing CAD design files, or make mofications as required to improve on the design before getting it ready to print.

3D Printing

Once all the necessary design and file validation is done we can move on to the fun stuff – printing the final design in your preferred choice of material.

Creative Process

We love a challenge!  Nothing gets us more excitied than seeing something through from initial design (even a pencil sketch) all the way through to final production.  It is a truly satisfying experience to be part of.

Every customer requirement is different – and at Carib3D we truly believe in a bespoke approach. We  want to ensure our customers get exactly what they need, rather than having to live with something “off the shelf” and making do.

However, with that being said, the journey is similar for most of our customers – going through various stages of initial problem definition, initial design and prototyping.  Once all that is completed then it is time for the final material choice (which could be dictated by use case) and then production.

Problem Research

First key step is to understand the challenge to be solved – is a complete new product required?  Or is it an improved replacement of an existing item?

Material Choice

There are many different options for a final product to be created in – different types of plastics, each having their own strengths.  Plus there are now more exotic materials reinforced with wood, carbon fibre or metal.

Initial Design

Once the problem is well defined, then the design process can start.  This is usually an iterative process, possibly with sample components being created along the way

Final Production

Once the design has been agreed, material selected and any appropriate prototype fitting has been completed, then final printing and production can begin.

Why we are different

One of only a few 3D printing facilities in the Caribbean, we are able to quickly respond and service many industries from our base in Antigua.

Maybe you have apart for your vehicle that has broken or something around the house has worn out?   Heat and humidity are known to be very tough on cheap plastics.  Or it could just be that the part was a bad design in the first place!   No job too small, we are always happy to help create, replace or improve on whatever parts you require.

But don’t just think small…what about one of our core businesses here in Antigua?  Do you need to do a quick test fit of a new part for your superyacht before committing to final manufacture?  In days gone by you would need to have a test unit built, shipped internationally, validated (potentially multiple times) before getting to a final product.  Now you can have it printed by us first to validate the specs, before committing to the final production.  Much faster – and cheaper!
